HISTORY
This is an independent media-making and appreciation club. This is a club that is a welcome home to film-makers, writers, artists, podcasters, costumers, editors, sound-designers, musicians, set-designers, actors, and creatives of nearly all types. Although we have an emphasis on film, we also love anyone making anything audio, visual, multi-media, etc.
This club was created as a resource and knowledge sharing venture out of a need we found for struggling independent projects to receive more support and attention.
This club is primarily physically based in Albuqueque, NM and Atlanta GA, but we welcome members from anywhere as many of our events are hybrid/online as well as our great in-person events.
Our primary goal is to bring equity and accessibility to tools and knowledge that have often been hard to reach for ordinary, working-class people, but also to have a lot of fun in how we approach this.
We want to remove some of the stress from the kinds of big creative projects that often can seem overwhelming to approach with a community-based system of working together.
